This international forum aims at proposing an innovative dialog between French and Japanese researchers working on a wide array of topics and disciplines. It pays particular attention to the intersection between social sciences and engineering sciences revolving around artificial intelligence. Panels and keynote speeches will address a wide range of topics such as: machine learning and deep learning; ethical and social issues of AI in daily lives; the transformation of the workplace and its consequences on labor, work organization and economic activities; daily life social interaction or interactions between humans and robots; AI’s representations in the field of science fiction, philosophy and literature.

It is organized by three major research institutions, the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST), the School for Avanced Studies in the Social Sciences (EHESS) and the French National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS) and will be held on the new Campus Condorcet.
