Takao Shimizu is a researcher of Center for the Study of International Cooperation in Education (CICE) in Huroshima University since 2016. Specialized in anthropology, child study and African area studies. He used to work on Japanese international NGOs and Research Insitute for Humanity and Nature (2012-2016). His main work focuses on culture and survival strategy of children and youth on the street of West African urban area. In these years, he is working with NGOs securing children and Quranic schools.
