Landscape Transformations and Sustainable Trajectories in East Africa – Past, Present and Future
The REAL ITN Final Conference

The Resilience in East African Landscapes (REAL) ITN is hosting its final conference on 11- 12 July at the Uhuru Conference Centre in Moshi, Tanzania.
The conference will provide a forum for presenting research on human-environment interactions and sustainable development in East Africa that integrates past, present and future perspectives, while also disseminating results from the REAL project.
By bringing together REAL researchers, other scholars with cognate projects in the region and speakers from more applied fields, we aim to encourage knowledge exchange and facilitate a dialogue on how to foster resilient societies and landscapes in East Africa.
In collaboration with the Africa Digital Media Institute in Nairobi, students, researchers and professionals experienced a practice based video training dedicated to video editing and post-production. Under the supervision of an experienced professional team including researchers, video and sounds engineers and technicians, trainees had a great opportunity to realize their individual movies on their specific topics. The training provided theoretical courses, practice, advices and logistics (computers, software and audio tools) to each student involved in the training.
