Institut de recherche interdisciplinaire sur les enjeux sociaux - IRIS

The IRIS Research Center brings together over 60 researchers and more than 100 PhD students and postdocs in Anthropology, Sociology, History, Law, Political Science, Public Health, and Legal Medecine. Researchers investigate the social, political and moral questions relating to contemporary societies in France, Europe, America, Africa, Asia and Oceania.

The Center is managed by the EHESS, the CNRS, Inserm, and Paris 13 University.

Founded in 2007, IRIS is the fusion of two research groups: Centre de recherche sur la santé, le social et le politique and the research laboratory, Génèse et transformation des mondes sociaux.

IRIS is one of the founding partners of the Tepsis Laboratory, Transformations de l'Etat, politisation des sociétés et institution du social.
