EHESS deploys its original format of "research seminar" – in which professors present and discuss their work in progress with students – in many countries around the world.

Drawing on their excellent knowledge of local educational traditions, EHESS professors deliver research seminars to partner institutions abroad. These interventions contribute to the EHESS's international reputation and to the transmission of the EHESS intellectual tradition.

The Global EHESS Portal aims at making the content of these seminars more accessible, whether the courses are made in their original language or translated into other languages by international partners. In addition, it makes visible EHESS professors’ presence in international Medias.

By giving the possibility to an international audience to access EHESS contents in foreign languages, available in different written or audio formats, EHESS will assert its commitment to the internationalization of teaching in social sciences and the promotion of multilingualism.
